Lenovo introduces new Windows 11 laptops for creators and gamers with Yoga and Legion lineups

Creators and gamers in search of updating their PCs have new options with the lineups Lenovo recently released that aim to deliver performance, versatility and mobility in portable designs. Lenovo’s PCs come with Windows 11, which introduced a major update at the end of February. One of the biggest additions is a typable Windows search box that brings the new AI-powered Bing front and center. The update also includes improved touch experiences, full screen widgets, quick access to the Windows 365 app and new AI features in Start. Additionally, Windows announced a preview of Phone Link for iOS which is currently available to Windows Insiders and available to all Windows users in the coming months. The flagship Yoga Pro 9i (available in 16-inch and 14.5-inch screen sizes) comes with up to 13th Gen Intel Core mobile processors, an NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics solution and an upgraded version of Lenovo X Power. These are hardware and software features that work together to provide a smoother creative experience, such as video editing apps running faster with speedier previews, renderings and exports. This means more time making videos and less time spent waiting for those results. There’s also been significant increases in thermal capacity since the previous generation of the PC, which delivers faster graphic, video or 3D rendering while maintaining a cool and quiet experience. A new mini LED PureSight display is also available for sharper and more realistic visuals and color accuracy. Built with 50% post-consumer recycled plastic in the keyboard and 50% recycled aluminum in the bottom cover, these PCs are shipped in packaging cushion containing 90% recycled plastic. The 16-inch Yoga Pro 9i (pictured above) will start at $1799.99, while the 14-inch version will start at $1699.99. Both are expected to be available in North America starting in May. A newly designed keyboard and larger touchpad make working more comfortable and efficient, while the latest generation AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and a higher capacity 70Whr battery help power whatever tasks need tackling. Level up with a Rapid Charge option to recharge for three more hours of use in just 15 minutes. The 14.5-inch up to 3K PureSight OLED display, which includes TÜV Hardware Blue Light Eyesafe Certification, and six speakers with two back-to-back subwoofers make hours-long workstreams, meetings and downtime entertainment easier on the eyes and ears. The Yoga Slim 7 will start at 1499 € inc. VAT and is expected to be available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa starting in June. For gamers, Lenovo Legion’s newest Slim series laptops can help them achieve gaming goals, as well as work ones. This newest iteration of the series is also the first to include the Lenovo Artificial Intelligence (LA) family of chips, onboard physical AI chips that power Lenovo AI Engine+, dynamically adjusting the Lenovo Legion ColdFront 5.0 thermals to optimize cooling on the fly to maintain maximum output with minimal noise. These laptops are designed to meet the multi-faceted needs of gamers, with an SD slot, rapid charging battery technology, Windows 11 and three free months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate*. The Legion Slim 7i will start at $1769.99 and is expected to be available in April. The Lenovo Legion Slim 5i is a new addition to the Legion portfolio. Available with a 16-inch screen as well as an upcoming 14-inch screen with OLED panel to be released later in the year, all Lenovo Legion Slim 5i laptops are available with up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. Legion ColdFront 5.0 keeps gaming sessions cool and quiet while helping to prevent throttling, with its larger hybrid copper heat pipes and fins, phase change thermal compound, increased air intakes and exhaust, as well as a turbocharged 12V dual liquid polymer fan system. An up to 80Wh battery can deliver up to eight hours of battery life and supports Super Rapid Charge so you can be out and about for the day without the charging brick. Users can configure it with 13th Gen Intel Core processors (available starting in April) or AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPU (available starting in May). Lenovo launches Windows 11-powered ThinkStation PX, P7 and P5

Lenovo’s latest trio of Windows 11 desktop workstations are what the company calls its most technologically advanced, with the latest Xeon processors from Intel and support for high-end NVIDIA RTX professional GPUs to handle machine learning, data science, AI development and more. The ThinkStation PX, P7 and P5 also come with a new chassis co-designed with Aston Martin – the U.K.-based high-performance luxury auto maker. The two companies worked together over three years to apply insights from both industries to make a tool-less chassis with unobstructed airflow, ensuring maximum cold air intake and hot air exhaust. The 3D grill maximizes the performance of CPUs, GPUs, memory and storage. All three workstations also have front access drives for easy serviceability and upgrade flexibility. Lenovo’s latest Windows 11 PCs embrace hybrid work styles and sustainable materials

At Mobile World Congress 2023, Lenovo showed off an array of devices aimed at hybrid work that demonstrate an increased use of more sustainable materials and more enhancements to help users get more done on the go. Powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Mobile Processors with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics, the ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 second generation Windows 11 laptops can be configured with up to 64GB Dual Channel memory and up to 2GB PCIe SSD to breeze through the most demanding tasks. The ThinkPad Z13 Gen2 also comes with an optional new natural fiber reinforced material bonded to the 75% recycled aluminum top cover. This woven Flax material is made from 100% agricultural product collected by harvesting flax plant fibers. Double tapping the latter opens a TrackPoint Quick Menu which displays four menu cards. These menu cards can now be customized from a list of options, including camera and microphone functionality as well as select battery settings and preferred audio device settings – such as Bluetooth or built-in speakers. When you’re on video calls, you can count on fast and reliable Wi-Fi 6E, an FHD camera and Dolby Voice enabled microphones. The redesigned ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 and ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 4 adopt sleeker and narrow bezels that increase the screen-to-body ratio. Dolby Audio speakers are now user facing for more immersive audio. For even better collaboration settings, you can add a new optional 5-megapixel with Infrared camera and/or a new 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED display that is Dolby Vision enabled and features Eyesafe Certified Natural Low Blue Light technology (to help reduce eye strain). Lenovo updates smart solutions with Microsoft Teams display and Windows-based collaboration bar

At Information Systems Europe 2023 in Barcelona, Lenovo revealed a new solution aimed at helping people collaborate better at home and in the office: ThinkSmart View Plus. Powered by the Qualcomm QCS8265 chipset, this integrated device runs Microsoft Teams as a standalone 27-inch multi-touch display with premium video, audio and whiteboarding features. With this feature, they can join meetings through the device and screenshare between their PC and the ThinkSmart View Plus to simultaneously look at content and presenters. With ThinkSmart View Plus, employees can smoothly transition from their home office to their work office with a customized Teams experience via hybrid work solution called hotdesking – allowing IT admins to manage their workspaces. Hotdesking allows them to quickly reserve flexible workspaces to touch down and make calls, sign into their personal Teams account, and access their meetings, chats and more. After users sign out, their personal information is removed from the device to minimize security risks. Unveiled in 2022, the integrated collaboration solution, which can be used freestanding or mounted to monitors or a wall, was designed for small to medium meeting rooms or dedicated home office spaces. Powered by an embedded 11th Gen Intel Core processor with vPro technology, it supports video conferencing applications such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, and includes eight microphone arrays with echo and noise cancellation, 15-Watt stereo speakers and an integrated high-resolution camera with wide field of view. Lenovo refreshes its education portfolio for hybrid learning with Windows 11 laptops

Though schools have returned to in-person learning, that doesn’t erase the digital paradigm shift that was brought on by the pandemic. At the Future of Education Technology Conference in New Orleans, Lenovo announced refreshed and new solutions aimed at supporting hybrid learning styles and ongoing technological pivots by students and teachers. Lenovo’s latest Windows 11 laptops and convertibles are built to withstand the challenges of education at every level. Lenovo DuraSpec provides a series of hardware features and testing methods to ensure the company’s devices withstand the rigors of daily indoor and outdoor classroom life. These protective innovations built into the laptops include anchored keys, drop protection, reinforced LCD glass and ports, liquid spill protection and rubber bumpers. These new laptops all feature 90% recycled packaging and standard 45W and 65W power adaptors made with 90% PCC recycled plastic. In addition, all Lenovo’s latest education laptops are EPEAT Gold rated. The Lenovo 300w Yoga Gen 4 is also 11.6-inch but is an IPS touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and at least a 360-degree hinge and rubber bumpers. The Lenovo 500w Yoga Gen 4 has a 12.2-inch WUXGA IPS touch display with Gorilla Glass and TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light to ease eye strain. CES 2023: Lenovo’s lineup includes ThinkBook Plus Twist, Legion gaming PCs and more

At CES 2023, Lenovo introduced an array of Windows 11 PCs to satisfy both personal and professional demands and needs. With Windows 11’s latest update, you’ll be able to tap into features such as Focus sessions, snap layouts that make it easier to get things done and the new Microsoft Defender SmartScreen to keep you safer on the web.
